What’s the healthiest nut butter?

All nut butter contain a combination of protein and healthy fats, but the other contents on the label could make your choice not so great. Stick to nut butters with two ingredients, nuts and salt, and avoid any that contain more than four.

Sometimes palm oil, sugar, or hydrogenated castor oils are added for texture or shelf life. And although reduced-fat nut butters may seem like a good option, they usually pack more fillers, like sugar, to make up for the flavor fat provides.

My favorite brands here in Brussels are Monki and Jean Hervé.
